Our Farm Shop, open Thursday, Friday & Saturday
Sillfield Farm Shop is located on the farm in the old cow byre where you can find all those good foods you heard about. Everything where possible comes from a free range home and whatever we didn’t grow ourselves (like cattle and poultry), is locally sourced. We firmly support small businesses. What you buy here is all fresh meat that, unless needs maturing, is sold the same week. For a list of our products see below.

Sillfield Farm Products
You already know that we are in the beautiful Lake District, that we care for our animals throughout their lives, and that they roam free and eat good food. It’s all important. Because, after all, that is the beginning of what end up on your plate.
As for our products, absolutely everything here is done by hand and all the meat of the pig is used. Some of it is sold fresh and the rest is turned into Dry Cured Bacon,Cumberland Ham and Sausages, Cumberland Black Pudding and ready to eat meat.
TRADITIONAL CUMBERLAND SAUSAGES are our speciality or signature dish especially as we have as a County just acheived PGI protected status .The 44 th product in the country to do so and the only sausageto have Geographical Protection.
The majority of our products have a very high meat content and they are very low on preservatives. It means a shorter shelf life, perhaps, but much better taste.
Pies
The pies are handmade on the farm to our own recipe. They are about 4 inch (10 cm) in diameter and about 2 inch (5 cm) in height. You can choose from:
WILD BOAR PIES famous eat now (contains our wild boar our free range pork fat )
WILD GAME PIES (contains: venison, pheasant, duck and wild boar)
CHICKEN & HAM PIES (contains chicken cumberland ham )
HUNTSMAN PIE (contains: wild boar, chicken, cranberry sauce and topped with stuffing)
PURE PORK PIE ( contains rare breed pork nicely seasoned )
WILD BOAR & CRANBERRY PIE (contains wild boar pork and cranberries)
Fresh Meats
You can find all the different cuts that you have heard about, including those you didn’t know what they were or where they came from. Joints and chops, collars, shoulders or legs, loin steaks and ribs, whatever you want, we have it.

Aberdeen Angus Beef ( sourced locally every week and hung ) sometimes we get galloway or red poll old fashioned breeds
LAMB (every week locally Lakeland cross breeds and when we have them ready our own Herdwick LAMB and MUTTON

Sausages
Incredibly large variety to choose from, including a GLUTEN FREE range.
Our sausages have a very high meat content, 85-90%, and when we say meat - it’s meat, not fat.
