About Us


Sillfield Farm is home to Wild Boar, Rare Breed Pigs, Herdwick sheep and pedigree poultry. All of which are Free Range.
Some of the farm buildings have been converted into a compact processing facility and the business supports a labour force of eighteen full and part time staff.
The owners are Peter and Christine Gott, who have been running the farm for sixteen years.

The farm is set in the picturesque English Lake District and its elevated position in the village of Gatebeck, means that the farm is home to some of the best landscape in the whole of the Lake District, with some fields providing breath taking 360 degree panoramic view, comprising of dramatic mountain ranges, rolling hills and glistening seas.

Sillfield Farm produces some of the finest farm products in the country and has received numerous awards in recognition of the quality and taste of these products, with fans including Jamie Oliver and Prince Charles.

Peter Gott is a very well respected leader in rearing free range animals and as such is very busy filming numerous television programmes and teaching people his methods.

Jamie Oliver sends his students from his restaurant Fifteen to Sillfield Farm every year, where they are shown how the animals are reared and taught the importance of using quality ingredients in their cooking.

We provide some of the best restaurants in London with our products, including Fifteen and The Ivy to name but a few.

We have been assisted in buying a new smoker by Cumbria Fells and Dales Leader to help improve our smoked products. We are grateful for their support.
